YinQi Yoga Therapy
What is YinQi Yoga Therapy?
YinQi Yoga therapy applies the ancient principles of yoga in a therapeutic way to address individual health conditions and imbalances. It combines gentle postures, breathing techniques, and mindful awareness to restore physical harmony and emotional calm. At Yulong TCM, YinQi yoga therapy is offered as one-on-one sessions in the clinic — focused on healing and support, not group exercise or athletic performance.
Our Treatment Approach
Each session is designed to meet you where you are — physically, mentally, and energetically. Under the guidance of Maria van Bruggen, a certified ZHONG practitioner and experienced yoga therapist, each posture and breath sequence is adapted to your specific needs and abilities. The goal is to help you reconnect with your body, reduce stress, and enhance the flow of Qi and blood, supporting recovery and long-term balance.
Conditions We Commonly Support with Yoga Therapy
- Stress, anxiety, and nervous system imbalance
- Back and neck tension, stiffness, or poor posture
- Fatigue, sleep disturbances, and low energy
- Hormonal and digestive imbalance
- Rehabilitation after illness or burnout
- Emotional blockages or trauma-related tension
What to Expect During a Session
Each session begins with a personal consultation and a short assessment of your posture, breath, and areas of tension. You’ll then be guided through slow, mindful movements, gentle stretches, and breathing practices designed to release tension and restore flow. Sessions may also include guided relaxation or meditation. The practice is calm, therapeutic, and adapted to your comfort level. Each treatment lasts around 60 minutes and leaves you grounded, lighter, and more at ease.
Frequency and Course of Treatment
Yoga therapy can be offered as a single restorative session or as a progressive series to support deeper healing and body awareness. Some clients come weekly; others integrate sessions as part of their ongoing TCM treatment plan. During your first visit, we’ll discuss the ideal frequency and focus to support your goals.
